- Michael Nolan
A fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, Michael is a partner in the firm since 1999. He trained with the firm and then spent time working with KPMG before returning to take up his new role.Michael leads our audit department serving a wide variety of clients in the manufacturing, retail, property, tourism and retail sectors. The firm’s audit client base encompasses mainly large indigenous Irish entitles. Michael has a wide range of experience in all sectors and is a former member of the Auditing Standards Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland giving the firm a valuable insight into the current and future legislation and passing this knowledge onto our clients where it applies.Michael has advised clients on all aspects of both acquiring and selling companies ranging from €1m – €40m sales and acquisitions ranging with considerations of up to €25m.- Kevin Whooley
Founded Welch & Co with Niall Welch in 1989, having spent the previous fifteen years in a big four firm.
Kevin has particular experience in preparing business plans and reports for clients, especially for the purpose of obtaining finance. He has worked with many companies in the construction, manufacturing and service sectors and has been involved in numerous assignments for local authorities. He has also reviewed and assessed business plans for many clients over the years in various sectors. Projects with which he has been involved range in size from the smallest to multi-million euros.
Kevin has produced many financial models to assess the financial implications of projects and proposals in terms of Projected Cash Flows, Profit and Loss Accounts and Balance Sheets. In addition, he has been involved in preparing management accounts for numerous companies both in start-up and continuing situations. In this way he has gained a deep understanding of the businesses with which he has been involved.
He has prepared expert witness reports for cases in the High Court (including Commercial Court), Circuit Court and Arbitration Hearings and has been called to give evidence on numerous occasions. Recent cases include shareholder disputes, commercial disputes, marital proceedings, loss of earnings, and arbitration hearings involving compulsory purchase orders made by local authorities. He has also assisted a number of local authorities in assessing financial information provided by tenderers prior to awarding of certain contracts.

- Ann Cotter – Tax Director
Ann Cotter is responsible for Corporate and Personal tax planning and compliance. She advises on wealth management and succession planning, tax efficient business and property investment structures, pension planning and VAT issues.- John Murphy – Audit Manager
John is our audit manager and a qualified chartered accountant since 2006. He manages the provision of audit and business advisory services to clients in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, IT and leisure sectors.
